For 2024, all Henry Clay Township deeded parcel owners with trash producing improvement structures shall ensure payment for solid waste management by each dwelling structure by township ordinance. The trash fee is $80.00 per quarter or can be discounted to $300.00, if paid by April 30, 2024. Township provided dumpsters are provided for commercial/industrial businesses upon request. For commercial/industrial businesses that do not use the HCT dumpster service, please provide proof of your reputable and active dumpster service to update your account by April 30, 2024.
All Township parcel data has been refreshed by the courthouse records as of December 2023. If you feel that your bill needs additional consideration or further updates, please contact HCT by April 15, 2024.
Please remember that there is a limit of four - 40 lb. bags per pickup. All trash bags must be tied and secured.
The township will only accept bagged household garbage, no building materials are accepted. You are responsible for getting a dumpster for your remodeling or project purposes. No dumping at HCT building or any location in HCT. These actions will result in fines and restitution. Large item drop-off must be first approved and paid issued office receipt between 8am-4pm Monday-Thursday. No trespassing on HCT municipal building property after hours between 4pm and 8am.
Please have your garbage out by 6am or it could become your responsibility for that week to secure or to bring to HCT. Anyone living on a private road, please place your garbage at the township right-of-way in a secured container the night before your pick-up. It is your responsibility to pick up trash if your bag breaks or animals distribute the contents. Remember your garbage will run a day late on the holidays listed below:

Township Meetings are the first Monday of every month at 6pm at the Markleysburg Vol. Fire Hall. If Monday falls on a holiday, the meeting will be on the following Tuesday.
