January 2024 Updates
- The Sugarloaf Road Reconstruction Project Phase I has been awarded a Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant of 500K through the DCED & the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA).
- The Engineering and Henry Clay Township Supervisors Teams have been strategizing the use of funds to maximize the roadway application to ensure safety for all travelers on Sugarloaf Road. Currently, safety signage is stationed at both ends of the Henry Clay Township corridor of Sugarloaf Road.
- The second grant had been written for a Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant for 2022 for the Sugarloaf Road Reconstruction Project Phase II, however funding was not granted.
- There was a Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant that was written in 2023, the Township is awaiting a response from the State whether funding has been granted. If funded, work will be done summer/fall of 2024.
2022/2023 Updates

- Based on the funding from the DCED, this project will be broken into two phases, over 2022 & 2023.
- Road construction of Sugarloaf Road Reconstruction Project Phase I will finish the second week of October.
